Your complete scrapbook guide.

• Tap Edit to unlock a finished page. Tap Save to lock it and prevent accidental movement; StoryPatch also autosaves while you work.
• On iPhone, use the page arrows. A locked page also supports a full-page swipe. While editing, begin a turn at the outer edge so the gesture does not move an object.
• On iPad, tap either page to make that side of the spread active, then use the page-corner arrows to turn the spread.
• The page number stays visible at the bottom of the page or spread.

Good to know: If Privacy Lock is enabled, StoryPatch asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode before showing the book.

• Blank Page starts a clean, dated canvas.
• Quick Photo Page takes a picture on a new page and can continue into Voice writing.
• Choose a Template offers Travel Memory, Gratitude, Family Moment, and Photo Story.
• Copy Current Page Style reuses the current paper, lettering, alignment, and date visibility without copying its content.
• Use Duplicate only when you want a copy of the current page and its content. Use Date / range to change the new page's date, then Save when the composition is finished.

• Type normally and use Apple's standard long-press selection handles for cut, copy, paste, replacement, and Select All.
• Select text and choose Paragraph Font to apply Handwritten, Flowing Script, Marker Journal, Classic Book, Clean Modern, or Typewriter to that paragraph.
• Choose Move / Rotate when selected words should become a separate scrapbook object. Lifted text can be dragged, resized, rotated, layered, or deleted.
• Keep ordinary journal text in the page flow when it should wrap around photos, stickers, movable text, or Memory Pocket.
• Tap the keyboard's Done button when writing is complete. If the keyboard is not wanted, close the selected object before selecting page text.

Good to know: StoryPatch keeps the active line visible above the keyboard while you type.

• The microphone turns red while StoryPatch is listening, and partial words appear live on the active page.
• Tap the red stop microphone to finish. StoryPatch briefly shows that it is finishing before committing the final words.
• Start Voice again to add another paragraph; each new session is appended below the existing writing.
• If Speech Recognition or Microphone access is disabled, tap Open Settings in the Voice status message.
• Saving the active page or turning to a locked page stops the current Voice session.

• In Edit mode, drag to move, pinch to resize, and twist with two fingers to rotate.
• Tap a photo to select that exact object. Its pink outline and edit badge identify the active item.
• Use Photo style or the pink edit badge to choose No Border, Tape, Polaroid, or Film.
• The contextual controls can replace the selected image, rotate it, add a caption, bring it forward, move it to Memory Pocket, or delete it.
• The frame follows the image's aspect ratio, and flowing journal text leaves a padded boundary around placed objects.

• Switch among Stickers, Favorites, and Recent, then browse the Love, Garden, Travel, Family, and Celebration filters.
• Search names such as heart, travel, family, cake, or flower.
• Tap the heart on a library choice to keep it in Favorites.
• Use Import sticker for your own original image or another rights-cleared sticker file.
• Tap a sticker on the page to select it. The red trash button removes it; the purple edit button opens resize, rotate, replace, and layer controls.

Good to know: A few intentional accents usually keep the photographs and story as the focus.

• Choose Add pocket from the toolbox, then drag the compact pocket anywhere on the long page while it is unlocked.
• Tap the pocket to open its translucent gallery and add up to 12 images.
• Swipe the main image, use the thumbnail strip, or expand an image for a larger review.
• The viewer can return a photo to the page, replace it, or delete it. Pocket photos stay off the page until you explicitly return them.
• While unlocked, use the purple pencil for Open Pocket or Remove Pocket. Removing it asks for confirmation and returns its photos to the page instead of deleting those memories.

Good to know: Save locks the pocket in place while keeping it visible and available for viewing.

• Date / range edits one date, adds an end date, or hides the date.
• Paper offers Fresh Journal, Color Botanical, Gallery Spread, Electric Night, Color Pop, Light Denim, Watercolor Wash, and Clean White.
• Layout arranges visible photos as Feature, Collage, Filmstrip, or Scattered.
• Lettering changes the page's default writing style. Alignment controls leading or centered text and top, middle, or bottom vertical placement.
• On iPad, Align to gutter helps a photo composition read as one spread.

• Tap the calendar control to choose an exact date, or set a start and end date for a range. Apply the filter to jump quickly to pages from that day or period; no search words are required.
• Pages with a multi-day date range appear when any part of that page's range overlaps the dates you chose.
• Text search matches titles, journal writing, photo captions, formatted dates, and page tags. You can combine words, tag chips, and a calendar filter.
• Filter with tags such as Trip, Kids, Home, or Holidays. Search accepts either trip or #trip, and each page can hold up to eight tags.
• Turn on Bookmarked to see favorite pages only, then tap any thumbnail to jump directly to it.
• Choose Random memory in All Pages—or Surprise me in the toolbox—to revisit another page. Favorites are preferred and older pages get more chances.

Good to know: Use Clear date to return to every page without removing your search words or tag filters.

• Share page creates a rendered PNG of the full page. Share 4:5 creates a 1080 × 1350 Instagram-ready image and opens the iOS share sheet; StoryPatch never posts automatically.
• Share PDF renders the book as a printable PDF. On iPad, Share spread creates a print-ready image of the active two-page spread.
• Back up book creates an editable .storypatch archive containing the book, photos, and custom stickers.
• Restore book validates the archive and summarizes its page and media counts before asking permission to replace the current book.

Good to know: Use a StoryPatch backup for recovery or another installation. Use PNG, 4:5, spread, or PDF when someone only needs to view, post, or print the finished story.

• Authentication uses the protection already configured on your device: Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode.
• StoryPatch never receives or stores biometric data.
• Privacy Lock can relock immediately or after the delay you select.
• The app covers book content in the app switcher, and book and media files use iOS data protection while the device is locked.
